  • When all three align, others can feel your coherence and get behind you
  • Batman example: origin (crime victim at 10) + vision (Gotham free from crime) + mission (strike fear in criminals) = clear, aligned passion

Building your origin-mission-vision alignment

  • Find moments across your history that connect directly to your current work
  • The origin story should make people say: "You're not new to this"
  • Look for critical moments — positive or negative — that shaped your direction
  • The line from past to present should feel like a pool cue lined up to strike

Example: applying the framework

  • Age 10: sold salvaged items from a house fire, discovered entrepreneurship from adversity
  • Vision: thousands of entrepreneurs solving meaningful problems
  • Mission today: develop entrepreneurs who stand out, scale up, make a dent
