How to generate six months of content ideas in three days
Executive overview
Most content creators struggle to generate enough ideas consistently. By combining Google Search Console data with a keyword research tool, you can surface hundreds of rankable topics in hours.
Start with keywords your site already gets impressions for — these signal Google's existing trust. Expand them systematically, filter by low difficulty, and group into topic clusters.
The core insight: your existing search data already contains your next six months of content — you just need to extract and organise it.
Capitalise on existing keyword impressions
- Open Google Search Console and go to Performance → Search Results → Queries
- Look for keywords already generating impressions (not necessarily clicks)
- These signal Google sees your site as relevant for those terms
- Save them to a spreadsheet — they become your seed list
- Prioritise keywords ranking higher first; tackle low-rankers later
- Stay within your niche — topic consistency compounds authority over time
Multiply keywords with Ubersuggest
- Paste seed keywords into Ubersuggest to find related terms — up to a million per topic
- Sort by SEO difficulty (lowest to highest) to find easiest wins first
- Filter for keywords relevant to your actual product or service
- Assign high-CPC, high-volume, low-difficulty keywords to new posts first
- Send related keywords to existing posts for integration
Find question and comparison keywords
- Use Ubersuggest's Questions tab to surface what people are actively asking
- Target both low-volume (high-converting) and high-volume queries
- Check the Prepositions and Comparisons tabs for transactional intent
- Comparison searches ("MailChimp vs ConvertKit") signal high purchase intent — own that space in your category
Group keywords into topic clusters
- Don't create one post per keyword — one piece can target hundreds of related terms
- Group related keywords into clusters before writing
- Each cluster becomes one content piece with broad topical coverage
Generate title ideas
- Use a blog title generator (e.g. Phrase.io/tools) to turn keywords into click-worthy titles
- Save titles to a spreadsheet alongside meta descriptions
- Include target keywords in meta descriptions to improve click-through from search
