Using AI and Reddit data to build a validated landing page in 45 minutes

Executive overview

Most founders generate ideas from gut instinct, which is slow and biased. The gold mining framework replaces that with a structured, data-driven process using Reddit as a pain-point mine and AI to turn raw data into copy.

Six tools, five prompts, 45 minutes: pick a market, validate demand with search volume, scrape Reddit for real customer language, extract pain points, generate business ideas, then produce a landing page — all without writing code or copy.

The real insight: copy from your customers, not your imagination — use their exact words as the landing page.

Step 1: Pick a market to explore

  • Start inside one of three proven spending categories: health, wealth, or relationships.
  • Use the market idea expander prompt to drill from broad category down to viable sub-niche.
  • Choose a niche where you have an edge (knowledge, network) or genuine interest.
  • Paste prompts as Markdown to preserve structure; Claude handles formatting automatically.

Step 2: Validate demand with search volume

  • Use Google + Keywords Everywhere extension to check monthly search volume for the niche.
  • Look for queries that signal intent: "co-parenting app", "co-parenting counselling" show users already seeking solutions.
  • Cross-check in Google Trends — prefer topics over search terms to capture all language variants.
  • Prioritise stable or growing trends over volatile spikes; human-need markets (co-parenting, health) tend to hold.

Step 3: Gather Reddit pain-point data

  • Reddit is the primary data source — anonymous, long-form, emotionally honest.
  • Use a specific Google advanced search query to surface only threads where people describe lived experience (keywords: "I think", "I feel", "I experienced", "I have been").
  • Filter for threads with real engagement (comments, recency, on-topic subreddit).
  • Copy full threads into a text block, separated by ---, to feed into the AI in one batch.

Step 4: Process data — three sequential prompts

Run these three prompts in a fresh Claude conversation, one after another:

  1. Pain point extractor — categorises all frustrations from the Reddit threads, names each pain point, and attaches verbatim quotes from users.
  2. Market gap generator — takes the pain points and a differentiation framework (new branding, new technology, repositioning) to produce distinct business idea options.
  3. Landing page prompt creator — takes the chosen idea plus all the research context and generates a structured prompt optimised specifically for Lovable (the no-code app builder).

Step 5: Build the landing page in Lovable

  • Paste the generated prompt directly into Lovable.
  • The output is a complete landing page: headline, value proposition, feature list, FAQ, and lead-capture form.
  • Copy is drawn from the Reddit language — customers see their own words reflected back.
  • Publish immediately; no code or copywriting needed.

Step 6: Validate before building the full product

  • Treat the landing page as a validation tool, not a finished product.
  • Add a pop-up: "We're a small team building this app — answer a few questions and we'll notify you at launch."
  • Use a quiz to qualify interest and grow a waiting list.
  • Set a threshold (e.g. 100 sign-ups) before committing to building the full app.
  • Share the page widely to drive list growth; email the list at launch.
