EOS Measurables: Forward-looking numbers that drive accountability
Executive overview
In the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework, every person in a company is assigned a measurable — a forward-looking, activity-based number with a weekly goal. Measurables replace subjective manager-report conversations with concrete, consistent tracking. They are reviewed weekly on a company scorecard. Measurables create clarity, accountability, and commitment by turning individual contributions into visible, trackable numbers.
What measurables are
- Activity-based, forward-looking numbers — not lagging outcome metrics
- Each person's number reflects what they do to contribute value to the organisation
- Must be measurable on a consistent, repeatable basis
- Weekly goals set the cadence for review
How they work in practice
- Reviewed each week as part of a company scorecard
- Cut through subjective communication between managers and direct reports
- Surface problems faster by making performance visible in real time
- Drive teamwork and results through shared, transparent accountability
