  • Mobile and desktop scores often diverge — treat them as separate problems

  • Manually browse top-ranking pages in your niche on a real mobile device
  • Note structural choices: short sentences, clear paragraph breaks, easy scrollability
  • Look for mobile-specific UI patterns: carousels instead of static tables of contents, anchor-jump navigation
  • Ensure images are visibly optimized for mobile viewports
  • Ask whether the content feels shareable — that's the signal for "contagious"
