People Analyzer: evaluating right people, right seats

Executive overview

Making people decisions is hard without a consistent framework. The People Analyzer gives leadership teams an objective tool to assess whether someone belongs in their role and organisation.

Rate each person against your core values, then answer three questions for their specific seat: Do they get it? Do they want it? Do they have the capacity?

All three GWC questions must be "yes" — and core value ratings must clear your defined minimum bar.

The rating system

• Plus (+): shares the core value most of the time
• Plus/minus (+/-): sometimes demonstrates it, sometimes not
• Minus (−): rarely exhibits the core value
• Set a minimum bar as a leadership team (e.g. three pluses, two plus/minuses out of five values)

The GWC questions

• Get it: does the person intuitively understand the role?
• Want it: do they genuinely desire to do the work?
• Capacity to do it: do they have the ability — mental, physical, emotional?
• All three must be a clear yes; any "no" disqualifies the seat fit

Acting on the results

• Someone below the core value bar and failing GWC is damaging to the organisation
• That person belongs somewhere their values align — not here
• The tool enables specific, evidence-based conversations rather than gut-feel judgements
• Start with the leadership team, then assess the full organisation
