• Browse ThemeForest to survey layouts, colour schemes, fonts, and overall visual styles
• Look at competitor sites, but don't expect them to set a high bar
• Goal is to cherry-pick elements from multiple sources and remix them — not to copy

Installing the Starter Templates plugin

• In your WordPress dashboard: Plugins → Add New → search "Starter Templates" → Install → Activate
• Open the library to browse hundreds of pre-made site kits; filter for free options (no yellow "Premium" badge)
• Prioritise layout over colours and images — both will be replaced

Configuring your site kit

• Choose one of the first two template styles for easiest customisation
• Optionally upload your logo, select colour and font combos, or use custom Google Fonts

Customising with Elementor

• Click Edit with Elementor to enter the builder; left panel is the dashboard, right is the staging area

• Click any element to edit text, links, styles, or colours directly in the dashboard panel
• Replace background images: select the section → Style → Choose Image → drag and drop
• Add sections: click the plus button on an adjacent section → Starter Templates icon → select Blocks → pick a layout
• Delete a section: click the x on the section
• Save frequently using the Update button
